Columbus Distributing Co. – Columbus, Ohio

The year is 1933, prohibition has just ended, and people are eager to capitalize on the newly legal sale of alcohol. After thirteen years, the demand is as high as ever and people need a method of distribution to meet the needs of the Columbus, Ohio area. This is how the Columbus Distribution Co. got their start and with the recent construction of their new tasting room, they wanted to pay homage to their early roots.

We worked closely with RW Setterlin Building Company and Shremshock Architects to help bring this walnut bar to life. The scope included the ceiling beams, wall paneling, satellite, back and front bar, bar soffit, and vestibule entry area. We provided detailed shop drawings, fabrication, and installation and used a beautiful rustic walnut for all wood items. This was an exciting project for us and presented a unique challenge as we attempted to stay true to early 1900’s architecture while incorporating modern equipment and functionality.
