More Column News

We have worked on a few different projects this week, but just wanted to give you an update on the columns that we started working on last week.

We took the pieces that we had machined last week and glued the them up using a polyurethane glue.  It was a near disaster and a definite mess.  We were having problems keeping the pieces togther before we were able to get the band clamps on, but with determination and perserverance we managed to get it clamped up.  The next three will go alot better than the first.

We then mounted the glued up column into a router fixture that we developed, and now we have the shape of the column machined out.
